Ken Novack

Ken Novack is a special advisor to General Catalyst and its portfolio companies.

Ken retired as Vice Chairman of Time Warner in 2003. As the vice chairman of America Online, and then Time Warner, Ken provided strategic counsel, handled special assignments for the Chairman, and assumed a leading role in major corporate transactions. In addition to his other corporate responsibilities, Ken oversaw the legal department at America Online and AOL Investments. He was a key architect of the merger between America Online and Time Warner. Ken continues to serve as a director of Time Warner.

Prior to being appointed vice chairman of America Online in 1998, Ken served as their outside counsel while he was a senior partner at the law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo. He joined Mintz Levin in 1966 as an associate and quickly rose to the position of managing partner in 1972. As a corporate and securities lawyer, Ken served as counsel and advisor to entrepreneurs, venture capital firms and investment bankers. He is currently Senior Counsel at Mintz Levin.

Ken is Chairman of Health-Insight Technologies. He is a director of Appleton Partners, Leerink Swann, Paratek Pharmaceuticals, and Prematics, Inc. He is an advisory director of Gordon Brothers Group. Ken is Trustee Emeritus and former Vice Chairman of Boston's Museum of Science and Tufts Medical Center.

Ken is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School.
